Goggleyed is a small online business established in 2010 by two friends living in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Both have now retired but the business continues to thrive under the capable hands of Lucy and Nicky.

The original inspiration for selling prescription swimming goggles came about when one of the founders, who is shortsighted, was struggling to read the signage and recognise other people at the pool and thought about doing something about it. Other swimmers at the pool who wore glasses were of the same mind, including those who were longsighted and wanted to see close-up objects such as their watch more clearly.

The prescription goggles that were available at the time either offered the same lens power for each eye only or were expensive full prescription goggles supplied by opticians so it seemed an opportunity existed to provide an immediately available, inexpensive product assembled in accordance with individual prescriptions.

Following extensive research and trials with samples from various suppliers the two founders came up with a product that would meet the specific needs of the swimmer at an affordable price. Goggleyed was born.

We are delighted to say that in excess of 50,000 pairs of goggles have since then been supplied to satisfied customers in the UK and abroad through the Goggleyed website as well as from Amazon and ebay.

We believe the key to our success is in providing excellent customer service including after-sales assistance if required. This is borne out by the positive feedback we are sent, by the high number of repeat orders we receive and also through many recommendations made to friends and family of satisfied customers.
